Sports and Extra-curricular Activities

Wahundura High School is well known for exemplary performance in various extra-curricular activities and sports with our students at times going up to the national level in some disciplines like music and drama. The school understands well that a good mind needs to be hosted in a healthy body and that a student who is meaningfully engaged outside the class is unlikely to have time for acts of indiscipline. Extra-curricular activities also fosters a spirit of competition among students and helps to bind the school community together. The school has facilities for sports like Football, Volleyball, Handball, Lawn tennis, Table tennis and Hockey as well as athletics. The school particularly excels in volleyball, athletics and
table tennis where our students normally compete at the provincial level.

- Welcome to Wahundura High School Website. My name is Irungu Nduati and I am the current Principal of the school. I joined Wahundura High School on 15 February 2009. Previously I was the deputy Principal of Nyeri High School and before that I was the head of the languages department at Mang’u High School.
  When I joined Wahundura, I had mixed expectations. The school has had a checkered history and several principals had turned down the opportunity to head the school. However, I told myself that if somebody had to do it, then I could as well be the one to take up the challenge. I took up the challenge and I have never regretted it.
  The school is endowed with lots of resources both physical and human. Since this is a school that had ‘A’ levels, it has the physical infrastructure to offer quality education to the young men of this country. In addition, the human resource in the school is qualified and committed.
